Our team of experts

		Steve Evans Steve is one of Australia’s leading experts in propeller hydrodynamics. He started with the Solas Company 18 years ago and has conducted thousands of trials on a large range of Australian boats, testing different boat, motor, hull and propeller combinations and factoring in the load and use of the boat. It’s through this research and practical testing that Steve has developed an extensive database that can finely pinpoint the best propeller for any boat and motor. Steve is passionate about boating and fishing and dedicated to excellence in boat performance.
		Shane Evans Steve’s son Shane has grown up around boating and fishing all his life. He’s acquired an enormous amount of knowledge from Steve and through working in the business, where he’s developed a thorough understanding of all aspects of propeller hydrodynamics. He has a passion for boating and fishing.
		Nikkita Argent Nikkita comes from a family that loves fishing and boating. Since starting with Solas Propeller Warehouse 9 years ago she’s developed a real talent for propeller hydrodynamics and has a particular interest in outboard and stern driven motors. Apart from learning an enormous amount from Steve, Nikkita extends her knowledge at every opportunity. She is now well respected in the industry for her high level of expertise.
		Craig Argent Craig, who’s been with Solas Propeller Warehouse for over 10 years, heads the “Winston Churchill” repair workshop ….“Never before has so much been done with so little” . From thousands of repairs his knowledge and hand skills are enviable. Craig is a master at fine tig welding difficult repairs that seem worthless and has developed many new prop repair techniques for rebushing, repairing and cupping. He is also a formidable all round keen fisherman.

"Just a quick thank you. I recently ordered a 4 blade stainless steel prop (13x17) to replace the old alloy prop (14x17) on my Haines Hunter 520SF, powered by a 115 hp Evinrude. The prop arrived 2 days after I placed the order. Put it on the boat last Friday and gave it a workout over the weekend. Comes out of the hole much better, holds plane at low speed consistently, and I even picked up a few revs and got better top end speed.
